The Northwest Division is known for it strong goaltending and defensive play, but there are some good forwards.
Here are the Northwest Division's top left wings.
No. 5 Wojtek Wolski. The Colorado Avalanche were the worst team in the Western Conference last year, but had some very good forwards. Wolski, at 23-years-old, has a lot of experience with 240 games in the NHL. He was blossoming into a lethal scorer, until the team's play deteriorated. His production has gone down with the team. Despite the dropping production, he has plenty of hockey ahead of him.
No. 4 Patrick O'Sullivan. The Edmonton Oilers acquired the blossoming star at the trade deadline last season. The young star began the season with the Los Angeles Kings, but found himself traded to the Carolina Hurricanes and the Oilers in the same day. With Pat Quinn as the Oilers coach, O'Sullivan should continue to improve and take his game to the next level.
No. 3 Pavol Demitra. The Vancouver Canucks signed the veteran after he played two seasons in Minnesota. The Wild acquired him prior to the 2006-2007 to improve the team's stagnant offense. He played well, but not to the expectations that he had proven he could do. He moved on to the Canucks where his offensive production improved. He is still a solid player, but may not be a top line player anymore.
No. 2 Pierre-Marc Bouchard. The Minnesota Wild drafted him in the first round because of his offensive skills. He, as a smaller forward, has put up solid numbers. He has developed a reputation as a pass-first playmaker. His numbers improved after he started shooting a little more. The change to the new up-temp system should benefit him very well. He can control the puck very well in traffic and finds ways to keep possession. He needs to take his game to the next level and become a star.
No. 1 Daniel Sedin. He is one-half of arguably the most dangerous duo in hockey for the Canucks. Together they are as good as anyone, but individually we do not know and hopefully never do. The Sedin's should play their entire careers together. He was the only left wing in the division to record at least 30 goals.

its amazing Joe that with either #1 or #2 of the best players in the NW for all positions being on the wild you guys haven't won the division or made the playoffs lol .... you and your rateings are a joke to the hockey comunity
"The Sedin's should play their entire careers together." Oh really?!?

At least you didn't put a clearly inferior Wild player above Danny...but your lists are still stupid
1. Sedin
2. O'Sullivan
3. Bouchard
4. Wolski
5. Bourque
Liam, I think Daniel Sedin is the clear cut No. 1 left wing, it is the following spots that will be different for everyone. It is by far the hardest to rank. Bourque was the last player left my list.
"what a joke," why do you keep cutting and pasting yourself. It's really annoying. Get a life.
P.S. The Wild won the NW division two years ago. Also, they made the playoffs every year in recent history but last year. And that, they missed by one game. (And that was with glass-groin Gaborik being injured all year.) I don't think you know what you are talking about. So, do us a favor, and quit talking.
Demitra isn't even a left winger. He was a center but switched to the RW for this season. Aside from that, this isn't a bad list.
1. Sedin
2. Bouchard
3. Wolski
4. Bourque
5. Burrows
el oh freakin el
how on earth can you justify putting PMB on that list let alone ranking him at #2? he was a disaster on the left side he was even more lost then normal. he plays on the right wing most of the time. Barring that PMB plays the game like a hemophilliac with brittle bone disease. he could skae around with a carton of eggs and not break any. you say he put up decent numbers? he has been lost without Rolston.
how the hell did you get to be a sports writter when you dont even know left from right? and consider PMB to be a top 5 player at any position?
Got something to say?
