Part 4 of "How to keep makeup matte all summer. Best makeup for matte skin.”
How to keep makeup matte all summer articles have included:
Women can have oily sweaty summer skin even after the proper cleansing, priming, and applying a matte mineral foundation makeup product. Humidity, age, hormones, stress, heredity, exercise, environment, and lifestyle all play a factor in our skin type and how it reacts on a daily basis.
The best products to apply over any type of foundation makeup will be a mattifier without talc. Mineral Wear Finishing Veil by Physicians Formula, Matte Magic by EpiDermalogy Labs, Mineral Veil by Bare Escentuals aka bare minerals are all nice mineral makeup products that keep any foundation base makeup matte.
Before applying a mattifier you will first use an oil absorbent product either made specifically for this purpose, or a piece of toilet paper, Kleenex, or paper towel. Clean and Clear makes oil-absorbing sheets and similar products can be found in the accessories section of most drug stores at very reasonable pricing.

Once the excess oil and moisture are vanished from your skin, use a clean mineral makeup brush, Kabuki brush, double-sided flocked sponge to tap on the mineral powder mattifier products where necessary. Wisk face lightly to blend powder and you’re done.
Following the above steps to apply makeup for matte skin can be repeated if necessary throughout the day. Though all you may need is one application of the matte mineral makeup powders above in the morning.

I purchased the Raesin Images Colour ID Matte Magic mineral powder on monday and just received it this morning. I love it, I apply it in the morning and never again and my skin stays matte. I do wish Physicians Formula Mineral Makeup had more foundation color, but have sent for some of the other minerel makeup brands mentions in the links. I owe my matte skin to you this summer Ms. Switzer, and you're correct it is the "Holy Grail" of matte makeup. By the way how old are you, you're skin looks great!

  • Thank you! From one oily skin lady to another, I understood our skin problems and resolved them by formulating and manufactuing the Matte Magic Setting Powder. It is available in several loose powder mineral makeup shades, samples are available at either the www.RaesinImages.com or www.Mineral-Make-up.net websites.

OH and don't forget to try our Award Winning Minerals Resurfacing Veil Primer or Setting Powder. You thought Matte Magic was great! See what this does to make your skin look, matte and radiant without foundation! I have to say it's one of the best mineral makeup products I've formulated and by our sales so do makeup users :)

I have to say this is the best article, or 4 page article i've ever seen on keeping skin matte. I've followed the routine that is suggested and it's true, my skin has never looked so good and it's only been a few days since i started. thanks your news it's what women all over have been searching for honest help.

I love the matte look, because I have very oily skin. So, really there are no other options for me. The one time I tried the "dewy" foundation look, my face actually looked wet after only an hour. Gross! My #1 product I can't live without is Mattify Ultra Powder, because its the only powder that will actually keep my face matte for most of the day. I do like shiny glittery makeup, but stick to just using it on my eyes and/or lips.
