Two Admirals promoted to Predators

The Nashville Predators announced today that Admirals forwards Peter Olvecky and Andreas Thuresson had been recalled by the club. In response to the call-ups, the Milwaukee Admirals have recalled forward Chris Mueller from the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL.

Saturday's call-up is Thuresson's first stint with Nashville (and first game in the NHL) since being drafted in the fifth round of the 2007 Entry Draft. Olvecky, who signed with the Predators as a free agent in July, split last season between the AHL Houston Aeros and the Minnesota Wild. Both players are on the roster for tonight's contest against the Dallas Stars.

Mueller makes his first regular season appearance with the Admirals, spending the first part of the season with the ECHL Cincinnati Cyclones. He's notched four goals and an assist in 5 games with the Cyclones so far this season.
