President Barack Obama dropped hints today after his meeting with Prime Minister Erdogan of Turkey that his administration may be willing to find creative ways to inject the $200 billion projected surplus from TARP(Troubled Asset Relief Program) back into the stimulus package. He emphasized that he would look at selective approaches to spur job growth and  get  money  to small business owners that have been hampered by the current credit situation.  The President said that many small to medium size businesses are having difficulty getting loans.

The President also discussed Turkey's troop contributions among other things, Turkey is only Islamic country supporting the Afghanistan NATO alliance(mostly help with training). Turkey is a member of NATO now, how long that will continue is up for debate. They have gotten a lot of complaints from Arab countries over this. Hundreds of years ago(roughly from 1299-1922) the Ottoman Empire(present day Turkey) at their peak ruled most of the North Africa, S.E. Europe, and Western Asia(middle East) until the Arab revolts. Some of that tension still remains as to whether the Turkish are real Islamics. Turkey still has strong influence in the region.

TARP was put into play during the beginning of the financial crisis to help banks and other financial institutions weather the storm. The money was generated from taxes, since then many of the banks have been able to pay back  the loans they were given, this has helped make TARP cost $200 billion less than projected.

President Barack Obama said he will talk more on the subject later. The Obama administration  has a little more wiggle room now for political maneuvering, the unemployment figures came in slightly lower at 10% and now he has the  TARP funds. The President has spoken modestly  in his assessment of the economic situation, he has  mentioned  positive economic signals in most of his recent speeches. The AIG and auto makers bailout lost the U.S. approximately 60 billion.

Turkey indeed IS a member of NATO and has been since the 50s. Please correct your statement. I have a feeling you've confused NATO with The EU.

The pics on yahoo show how gay Obama is, no real man holds himself like that next to another man. Explains why he married Meechelle, she looks like Patrick Ewing in drag.

Great slide show. On slide 5, it looks like Hillary is just beginning to feel the effects of her morning's Activia. Either that or some foolish aide suggested that they give back the extra $200 billion to the taxpayers from whom it was robbed. It probably shouldn't be mentioned that using the money for other than what was intended is breaking the law.
