The secret sevice is investigating a man who authorities say brandished a sign that read "Death to Obama" and "Death to Michelle Obama and her two stupid kids," outside of a Maryland town hall meeting .
They arrested unidentified, 51-year-old man near the entrance to Hagerstown Community College about 1 p.m. Wednesday after getting calls from a number of people attending the meeting held by Sen. Ben Cardin, D-Md.
Right wing political pundits have been fanning the flames for weeks, Beck,O'Reilly,Hannity,Limbaugh,Dobbs and Scarborough. Can't forget Buchanan.
Leading conservative economist Bruce Bartlett writes that the Obama-hating town-hall mobs have it wrong--the person they should be angry with left the White House seven months ago.
Where is the evidence that everything would be better if Republicans were in charge? Does anyone believe the economy would be growing faster or that unemployment would be lower today if John McCain had won the election? I know of no economist who holds that view. The economy is like an ocean liner that turns only very slowly.
I'm not sure how this is going to end but angry mobs are like a slowly moving barge , once they build up momentum they are a devil to stop .

- Your Medicare is safe, and stronger with reform: It’s myth that Health Insurance Reform would be financed by cutting Medicare benefits. To the contrary, reform will improve the long-term financial health of Medicare, ensure better coordination, eliminate waste and unnecessary subsidies to insurance companies, and help to close the Medicare "doughnut" hole to make prescription drugs more affordable for seniors.
- You can keep your own insurance: It’s myth that reform will force you out of your current insurance plan or force you to change doctors. To the contrary, reform will expand your choices, not eliminate them.

Health insurance reform will simplify administration, making it easier and more convenient for you to pay bills in a method that you choose. Just like paying a phone bill or a utility bill, you can pay by traditional check, or by a direct electronic payment. And forms will be standardized so they will be easier to understand. The choice is up to you – and the same rules of privacy will apply as they do for all other electronic payments that people make.

I'm glad the Secret Service detained the dunce. I honestly believe that all the vitriol and aggressiveness stems from racism for the most part. People have been arguing the same issues for 40 years but never with such hatred aggression. Why now? The only reason I can come up with is race. I was so proud of America right after Obama was elected but now I'm ashamed of my countrymen and women.
It is obvious that these people had been sent to the town hall meetings to boicot the plan and to create chaos. I won't be surprise if they are being paid by some republicans and those radio talkers whose only feelings are hate and hate. The insurance corporations must also be involved in this. Obama needs to open his eyes, he has enemies even in his own cabinet. He must act now or will be ending up like Kennedy.

What's the chances of whites liking Obama to and this is there way of bringing him closer to them since blacks have CLAIMED him and pretty much do not acknowledge his mother , that's not right
This is quite curious.
There are conflicting reports, and in a local paper,
"never handcuffed " and " the man was not arrested" and
"According to Blackford, the man was not arrested. He was interviewed at the sheriff's office and was allowed to leave after being questioned."
Also, it seem that it is automatically assumed that he was a GOP supporter. ( I am not,btw) but there is no evidence of that.
He could have been YET another "plant" .There have been a few documented.
All in all, Shoddy reporting is adding to the mess.

This is clearly a resurgence of the Klu Klux Klan without their sheets. If you notice, there are no people of color in these town meetings when this outbursts occur. Don't they see they are making a fool of themselves? They even sound stupid, when told the facts.For example, using terms such as "our forefather", the constitution, etc. These are all terms used to try and make them look "smart". These are the type of people who would follow Palin because they are pretty pretty dumb and I'm not a politician.

Health care (transformation) is one of the best issues this current administration has done thus far. With this change individuals will have the opportunity to seek professional and quality health care services. They are violating this man's first ammendment rights. His sign can say whatever it wants. If you don't like it, don't look at it. This man is no racist and yes i do believe with McCain this economy would be better, because McCain wouldn't have made a 800 billion dollar stimulus bill and hidden another 100 billions dollars in it that congress knew nothing about.
