Warm winds blowing softly on your skin, not too hot, not to cool, with the smell of the ocean in the air. Soft, oatmeal colored sand, crunching under your toes. Blue, emerald clear colored water lapping on the shore in the distance as far as the eye can see. A few boats, a jet ski, even a dolphin fin or two jutting out of the water off in the distance. This is Puerto Penasco Mexico in June.
Suddenly, a sound to the ears, a guitar chord, a drum beat and a 1,2 ,3, 4 …the fabulous music of Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers fills your head .
To most the familiar music with songs about Mexico brings a sweet memory back to your heart. To first timers the rhythm and the lyrics of the music grab your attention instantly and listening to the fabulous voices you can’t help but rock out in the sand.
Sit back and relax because on June 6th, 2009 at Sandy Beach, Changos Rocky Point Bar and Grill teams up to present the dazzling rock music of Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, “Circus Mexicus”. Enjoy a night under the stars of Puerto Penasco/Rocky Point and remember how good it feels to enjoy live music outside in perfect temperature at the beach. Beach and music go together like chips and salsa. One without out the other just isn’t the same. The same goes with Rocky Point and Roger Clyne, they blend beautifully together and make outstanding weekend memories at the beach.
As Tom Jurek, Paste Magazine says it best on AZ Peacemakers web site “Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers (RCPM) are proof that the crazy, reckless, restless, swaggering soul of American rock is still burning a hole in the night sky...guitars blaze, quake and quiver, drums slip, thud and thunder with killer melodies and hooks and the occasional reggae or mariachi rhythm laced through the middle to keep it all honest and interesting.”
Fun people from Arizona, California and all over the world will join together to celebrate life with the band and a not to be missed weekend at the beach on June 5, 6, and 7th. Don’t buy into the false media reports of Mexico, it is not Rocky Point/Puerto Penasco. If you are concerned about the truth, educate yourself on the facts.
Come on down to the beach for yourself and your friends. What you will walk away with is a weekend of truly remarkable music, new friends and a fun loving crowd.
Rocky Point is happening on the weekend of June 5, 6 and 7 and the weather is outstandingl.
