Lucia René, author of Unplugging the Patriarchy: A Mystical Journey into the Heart of a New Age, believes we are at the end of a 5,000-year energy cycle on earth and are about to enter a new energy configuration. She explains how we need to unplug from the current Patriarchal system and join in the new era.
We do need to unplug, she said, and we will even be forced to unplug by physical circumstances in our lives. Or we can choose to unplug ourselves more efficiently, more quickly, more gracefully if we are willing to do it in terms of consciousness. Unplug we will because the ages are turning and the Patriarchy is falling. The beauty of it is if someone is willing to do the work of examining their buy-ins to the Patriarchy and using some sort of psychological or processing technique in order to facilitate that then all of the energies on the planet right now, with Mother Earth cycling up and Mother Divine being here in such an onslaught of divine feminine energy, that supports the processing.
That is what the phase transition is about. The more of us that are willing to do it, the more gracefully this next two and a half years will play out. This is the root of the problem. It’s fine to say I don’t agree with this manifestation of the Patriarchy, but the real issue is what does that feel like? How does that vibrate in consciousness? Because that’s the gift. The things that you don’t agree with in the Patriarchy, these are the things that you are simply holding yourself apart from in the physical world. You’re resisting that part of yourself.
So most people feel they want to move beyond the Patriarchy. They want to get off of the grid and rid themselves of the Patriarchy but my stance is this: that is exactly the opposite of what we need to do. What we’re looking for is to embody the Patriarchy. As the universal self we are the Patriarchy already, we’re just denying it in the unconscious. So my method is to embrace what triggers me about the Patriarchy, to welcome it, to bring it into my heart, because I am already that. I bring that shadow, that piece of my consciousness that is unconscious, up into the light so that I can reconcile the two sides of that polarity.
You see, we have a personal self and a universal self. But the personal self is basically the ego and the mind, and it always has opinions about what it is drawing to itself and how comfortable and uncomfortable this is. But really the soul, the universal self, makes decisions when it incarnates and it says, “I want to learn these lessons. I’m signing up for this journey.” So it’s the universal self that is constantly pulling experiences to us. The conscious mind may be aware of that or it may not be aware of that. It really doesn’t matter. It’s the universal self that is exploring the various polarities of consciousness in order to evolve. So the personal self, as it becomes dismantled, is able to do less and less, which means that the universal self simply shines through. The universal self dominates and one’s being comes into balance.
