The Magician wears a white robe indicating the innocence and purity of the Fool. However, he is cloaked with a red robe representing knowledge and experience. The symbolisms of the white lilies and red roses all around him further symbolize the duality between innocence and worldly experience.
The Meaning of the Magician Card:
As the Fool walked blindly and innocently on his journey he lacked the worldly experience and practical tools for success. Now, through the Magician he has learned from his experiences and how to practically apply them by utilizing the powers of the four elements: earth (practical and tangible), air (intellectual and logical), fire (passion and inspiration) and water (emotion and intuition). The Fool has realized that faith comes from the belief in a higher source not just in the thing itself. Now he has the tools to fully manifest his potential.
