Tarot is an effective divination tool that one can use to gain insight into your life path. Though common place, tarot readings still hold a certain mystique that instills fear into the hearts of many. Tarot can't hurt you or bring you bad mojo. It can't predict your death.
The stigma around tarot cards seems to stem from movies and other pop culture phenomenon. What most don't understand is that tarot is a structured system of cards built around universal symbolism. It is straight-forward and easy to learn.
Tarot cards are broken up into two categories: the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana. The Major Arcana are symbolic of the journey of life. Each card is a specific aspect of the journey to wholeness and completion.
The Major Arcana (meanings in a reading) cannot be changed. They are life lessons that you must go through in order to evolve. In readings, the same Major Arcana cards will come up in a reading until you have learned the lesson and are able to move forward.
Minor Arcana cards deal with everyday life situations. They represent the mundane events that make up your future. Situations concerning the Minor Arcana cards (meanings) can be changed.
Due to this, a reading is merely a reflection of your life path if you were to do nothing different. If you don't like a reading you have the power to change it. We all have the power of free will.
Even when you have Major Arcana cards in your reading you can change the outcome. Though, it may not be advisable to do so. If you decide not to accept the lesson of the Major Arcana you will be forced to relive the lesson in another way until you have ascended to the next level of your journey.
When learning tarot it is essential to learn the Major Arcana or also known as the Journey of the Fool. Each week we will go through a new card starting and ending with the Fool. Then, we will move into the Minor Arcana and finally into tarot spreads.
With the knowledge of the tarot you will be able to make more informed decisions and live a better-rounded, prosperous life.
