Destroying Texas Fest - April 3

Any time that one reclusive band comes out of the shadows, you can rest assured that others will follow.

In the case of the Destroying Texas Fest on April 3, 2010, the catalyst is probably the reformed Order From Chaos, whose members went on to Angelcorpse, Vulpecula and Areas Kingdom, but are now reunited.

They in turn drew out Texas' own Averse Sefira and Mexican ultra-old school death metallers Toxodeth, who with Inquisition and Ares Kingdom are filling out this fest.

Here's the full lineup:

Order From Chaos (OFC) sounds like early Hellhammer if executed by the Cro-Mags or The Exploited; it's raw, rhythmic and mostly deconstructive metal crossover. Inquisition started as a minimalist cult black metal but are now a melodic kvlt black metal band. Averse Sefira are both melodic and aggressive, like Immortal's Battles in the North meeting Fallen Christ. Ares Kingdom are one of those speed metal bands that throw in a little bit of everything, but probably appeal to traditional metal purists. Toxodeth, like Impetigo and Deceased, are from the old school of weird, sloppy and alien death metal. It should be quite the show.
