Jeffrey Beall works as Metadata Librarian at the University of Colorado Denver's Auraria Library. He earned a master of library science degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and he also holds an M.A. degree in English from Oklahoma State University. He has worked as an academic librarian for more than 20 years. Jeffrey's research explores the weaknesses of full-text searching and the strengths of metadata-enabled searching. His articles have been published in numerous journals including American Libraries, the Journal of Academic Librarianship, College & Research Libraries, and Cataloging & Classification Quarterly.
