Hal Portner is an internationally acclaimed expert on coaching and mentoring. He trains and consults with coaches and mentors and synthesizes research in order to present best practices. He was a public school teacher, administrator, and member of the Connecticut State Department of Education involved in the development of the state's new-teacher mentoring program. Hal has written several books and over 80 articles on coaching and mentoring and presents at national conferences. He developed and teaches an online mentoring course at Western New England University.
