Between the northwest's love of technology and Washington's laws requiring you to use a hands-free device if you want to talk on your cell phone while driving, an unfortunate accessory has crept into the look of a few too many men.
The Bluetooth headset.
A remarkable device that provides hands-free access to cell phones and their many functions, and in theory allows drivers to focus more on the road than on fumbling with their cell phones.
But all too often, the Bluetooth earpiece remains on the ear after getting out of the car and becomes an accessory that has no place on a stylish gentleman.
Quite simply, a Bluetooth earpiece is a tool - you wouldn't wear a hammer on your belt, would you? Or one of those flashlights on a band that go on your head? Both great tools, but both out of place when they're not being used.
Certainly, there is the convenience factor that comes with a Bluetooth earpiece, but in the sake of looking sharp, how about keeping it in your pocket until you actually need it? Chances are pretty good that you'll actually do yourself a favor by saving the battery life, as well as upgrading your look by doing so.
