Way back in March my debut article for Examiner.com touched on the co-opting of workwear by high-dollar labels. What was then a mere bud has blossomed into a full blown trend. Workwear, in general, and that staple of the workwear wardrobe, the plaid shirt, has been fully latched onto and is currently being paraded around as the thing to for men to be seen in for this Fall.
For these houses of style the plaid shirt is a reliable friend. Whether they are temporarily out of ideas or just reacting to a skittish, somewhat tightfisted market, the ubiquity of the plaid shirt is a surefire way to move some cloth and fund future, presumably more ambitious, projects.
It took almost no effort to find 10 companies willing to risk a season's worth of resources on that which can found in almost any feedlot or bear bar in America.
