Back in the middle of May I posted an article about boots as part of a series on Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month. In that brief overview I mentioned two things: Wesco & Stompers Boots. Today, I'd like to get a little more specific about one of those things and that would be Wesco boots.
I've always had a thing for boots. Having worked seriously heavy construction building submarines for General Dynamics for five and a half years I have first hand knowledge of the importance of a good pair of boots. To say thatWesco makes a good pair of boots is a monumental understatement.
The West Coast Shoe Company, located in Scapppoose, Oregon, has been around for 91 years and in that time they've supplied everyone from loggers and shipbuilders to fire-jumpers, construction workers and bikers. This third generation family run business is serious about every facet of the boot making process. They source the highest quality American materials and assemble them by hand in America. To top it off, their customer service is unparalleled; if there's a problem, they'll fix it, period.

Since moving to the west coast I've purchased two pairs of Wesco boots (both from Stompers Boots, by the way) and though spendy, I have never given dropping that kind of money on them a second thought. They fit perfectly from day one, broke in smoothly without causing any blisters and they are incredibly comfortable despite being almost a decade old.
Do yourself a favor. Make up a reason to treat yourself to a pair of Wesco boots. And while you're at it, do yourself another favor. When you do decide to buy some Wescos, buy them from Stompers Boots at 323 10th Street. In addition to getting instant gratification you'll get the best price around and you'll be buying boots from an avid and knowledgeable enthusiast.

Stompers?
Hell get them on ebay and $AVE
Better yet, visit the factory in Portland and get a set made to fit. Off-the-shelf is great, but if you're paying for Wescos you might as well get the full enchilada.
@Spanky Better yet, visit Stompers and get a set made to fit. Their staff has been factory trained. I agree, if you're paying for Wescos you ought to get the full enchilada.
