Ron Alexander has been a publishing journalist for over 30 years. He regularly speaks to groups on youth and men's issues, and teaches life and survival skills. His new book, Don't Tell Me What To Do: A Spiritual Memoir, details his struggle with depression, addiction, crime and family issues. He gained considerable advertising and marketing experience while employed as a senior account executive at Burrell Advertising where he developed marketing campaigns for the McDonald's Corporation. Ron also served as Mayor Richard Hatcher's press secretary and as director of public relations for the city of Gary, Indiana.
