The controversy blazes on. I suspect the contact from this issue will increasingly thicken until the smoke gets in everyone's eyes. In a report by Mike Dennison from IR State Bureau on February 25th it appears medical marijuana may be on its way through Montana's congress.
A bill giving medical-marijuana patients better access to the drug won final approval from the state Senate Tuesday, sending it on to the House for consideration.
The Senate passed the bill on a 28-22 vote, picking up some additional support since the measure won preliminary endorsement Saturday by a 25-24 margin.
Senate Bill 326, sponsored by Sen. Ron Erickson, D-Missoula, makes several changes to the medical-marijuana law that Montana voters put into place by initiative in 2004.
The law allows physicians to recommend that certain patients suffering from chronic pain be allowed to smoke or ingest marijuana to relieve the pain or otherwise treat their disease, such as glaucoma.
SB326 increases the amount of marijuana that a patient or "caregiver" can possess from one ounce to three ounces; allows patients to get the drug from more than one licensed caregiver; allows licensed growers to have six "mature" plants rather than just six plants; and adds some additional medical conditions or diseases that can be legally treated by marijuana, such as Alzheimer's disease, diabetes and post-traumatic stress syndrome."

How is "organized religion" a pun, retard?
Yo, D. Re-read None's comment. He never said organized religion was a pun.
"OMG, I hate pun's more than organized religion."
Dumbass. Oh, BTW organized religion does suck balls.
I guess with all the new medical conditions included, especially diabetes and post-trauma, lots of people are going to stretch some mild symptoms to fit in the prescription range, which might end bringing a higher incidence of those conditions, which therefore could be erroneously linked to marihuana, just imagine the headlines: "diabetes incidence arose in California by 5% since marihuana was prescribed to ease the symptoms", when the truth is that the increased incidence is just a direct result of more people trying to get 'treated' even if they don't necessarily need it that badly. That should be food for thought for marihuana activists.
a) Montana already has legal medical marijuana; this bill would expand its access to more patients
b) When it's state senate or state house, it's called "legislature" and not "Congress" -- that word is used only for the guys in D.C.
I think you mean oxy moron.
This year's 420 in Boulder is going to be the largest international pro-marijuana demonstration! 20,000 people are expected to attend. Check out Link: www|copuffs|com for the official 2009 420 shirts and a schedule of events for the National Forum on Marijuana. I just picked up a sick IV:XX shirt for this year's celebration. Happy 420!
You cant just claim something like diabetes though. Post trauma maybe, but diabetes is pretty cut and dry. You have it or you dont.
