Laughter is a healer: Check out the play 'Love Overboard' and you will laugh. "Love Overboard," Is a romantic comedy, which is Je'Caryous Johnson's latest play.

This is a great play and is certainly overboard in laughs, emotionally stirring vocals great dialogue. The audience will cheer when the three male leads enter: Carl Payne (from television's "Martin"), Kahlil Kain (from the TV show "Girlfriends") and R&B recording artist Avant who kept the laughter flowing like the grand rapids. This romantic story follows five couples aboard the S.S. Love & Happiness, which is anything but happy by the end of the first act.
Gerald (Payne) is a married man taking a cruise with his single buddies, recently divorced Russell (Kain) and playboy Angelo (Avant). Gerald discovers his wife (Opal Staples) isn't on a Bible retreat but cruising with an old boyfriend.
Angelo is smitten by a virgin (Rhona Bennett). Bennett, a member of the R&B group En Vogue, who I've always felt is a natural actress, has a hugh voice rising out of her wispy thin body. This was Johnson's third or fourth play to come to Grand Rapids and the best journey yet.
