John has covered news and sports for radio stations, networks, and wire services for more than 25 years. Following high school and college in Ohio, John worked for radio stations in West Virginia, Mississippi, and Louisiana, transitioning from music into news and sports coverage in the process. He has lived and worked in Memphis since 1991, primarily in radio, and has covered the Grizzlies since they moved to Memphis from Vancouver in 2001. The chance to see NBA basketball live in the arena quickly converted John into a big fan of the pro game. His favorite Grizzlies moment remains the franchise's first home playoff game in April of 2004, before what was probably the loudest crowd ever heard in the now-retired Pyramid Arena. Contact John.
