Oregon NORML will be reopening the World Famous Cannabis Cafe at a new location, nearly 3 months after vacating the Rumpspankers location on NE Dekum on May 5. The Cannabis Cafe will be opening at 4:20pm on Saturday July 31, 2010 at 322 SE 82nd Ave, in Portland, Oregon adjacent to 82nd Avenue Tobacco & Pipe.
The press release posted on the Oregon NORML website states:
PORTLAND, OR – The new Cannabis Commons and Oregon NORML are excited to announce the reopening of the World Famous Oregon NORML Cannabis Café on July 31, 2010 at 4:20pm at 322 SE 82nd Avenue, Portland, OR 97216.
“I am so excited about our new location; we will be able to serve our community so much better,” reports Madeline Martinez, Executive Director for Oregon NORML and co-founder of both the café and Cannabis Commons.
Ben Cunningham, who has partnered with Madeline for the reopening and the new Cannabis Commons, is equally excited. “I look forward to offering café members a welcome haven at the café, and Cannabis Commons will provide opportunities to broaden our services to include the general public.”
As it was at the first location, the World Famous Oregon NORML Cannabis Café will be open to Oregon Medical Marijuana Program (OMMP) registrants who are members of Oregon NORML. Membership to Oregon NORML is $35.00 for the year, and will be available at the door. Café dues are separate at $20.00 per month with a $5.00 door fee for entry. A free ATM will be readily available.
Easily accessible by public transit, and with over four thousand square feet of space, the café and Cannabis Commons promise to become the cutting edge hot spot for all things hemp. For more information as it becomes available call the Oregon NORML message line at 503-239-6110 or visit www.ornorml.org. Oregon NORML can also be found on facebook and myspace.
A press conference will be held at 4pm, just before the opening of the new location.

Hi, really great articles!
I'm glad they're reopening. A lot of parents are finding great success treating their autistic kids with MMJ.
I will never understand how anyone would want to take away someone's right to at least TRY MMJ for pain relief, etc.
Great Examiner topic!
A patient's resource cafe'. How come it's about as far from ADA compliant as a building could be? How many sick folk are going to make the stair climb down and up again?
Lots of nice rides in the lot however... I spotted 4 sets of fancy spinner rims alone, much less multiple Navigators. Must be doing very well.
Got something to say?
