The New York Yankees needed just three games to do away with the Minnesota Twins and advance to the American League Championship Series.

The games were at the top of the weekly local ratings survey provided by The Nielsen Company.

Sunday night’s clincher on Sunday night was number one with an estimated 1.8 million on TBS. Game one, on Wednesday night, was the penultimate for the week with 1.4 million. The Friday night 11-inning thriller, lasting nearly four and a half hours, also had 1.4 million.

Other sports crept in the top 10.

ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” from October 5, was seventh for the week. It tied with the Patriots/Broncos game late Sunday afternoon on WCBS.

Elsewhere, the highest-ranked non-sporting event was NCIS, bringing in just over 1 million WCBS viewers at number four.

WABC’s best showing was from its usual ratings winner, “Dancing With The Stars.” Monday’s competition episode drew just under 1 million for a sixth-place finish. Tuesday’s results show placed 11th.

“House” gave WNYW its best position for the week---16th with 732,000.

WNBC struggled, once again in the ratings, as only “Sunday Night Football,” with the Colts and Titans, cracked the top 30. (The game, locally, was tied for number 27.)
