American Idol’s, Jasmine Trias, kicked off a 12 city “Spirit of Aloha” tour with a visit to the Phoenix area’s only Hawaiian themed day spa,Hawaiian Experience Spa in Scottsdale, AZ. Jasmine is American Idol’s third season finalist and is a Hawaiian native.
Jasmine, along with several musicians and hula dancers from the Polynesian cultural center in Honolulu, HI appeared on Fox 10 this morning to promote the 12 city tour in front of the Scottsdale Day Spa. In addition to Phoenix, the Spirit of Aloha Tour (January 19 – February 12, 2010) and “traveling luau” will visit select Children’s Miracle Network hospital kids in Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Denver and Salt Lake City. The tour will promote Hawaii as a travel destination, as well as vacation deals being offered by Marriott Resorts Hawaii and its partners, Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau, Hawaiian Airlines and Polynesian Cultural Center.
Cathy Ibach, owner of Hawaiian Experience Spa, says she enjoyed the company of Jasmine and the crew: “Everyone was so nice. We sat in the spa’s palm lounge and talked about Hawaii and the spirit of aloha tour as we waited for the camera crews to arrive.
