The UFC’s heavyweight champ will be unable to fight for an unspecified amount of time. The star was set to fight Shane Carwin on November 18, but he had to withdraw due to initial reports that he was stricken with the H1N1 flu. Whether or not the initial report was true remains to be seen. It has now been reported that he is currently hospitalized somewhere in the Midwest. Dana White, the UFC president, hinted that an interim title match may be necessary. He went on to add that the champ is not getting better and may need additional medical care.
