For the cross breed of martial arts enthusiasts and avid friday followers on Twitter, I present to you Tweet Kune Do: follow Fridays for the martial arts. For those not familiar with Twitter (or have disregarded it as yet another social networking website), this is a great way to see how it can be used to stay in tune with the world and your interest in martial arts.
This week's follow recommendation is @MAfights_Hunger
Why should you follow @ MAfights_Hunger? Martial Artists Fighting Hunger is a new organization that plans on hosting food drives by collecting canned goods as admission to mixed martial arts events to support the Florida Association of Food Banks. In a state that is experiencing higher than average unemployment rates, this seems like a perfect fit.
In summary, events that inspire you to be charitable are wonderful. Events that involve you getting to watch live MMA and be charitable at the same time are even better!
