It's a special kind of nerd who gets excited about updates to the AP Stylebook. I am that kind of nerd.
And it seems that I surround myself with those kinds of nerds. One such friend is Liz Bollinger, president of KIS Corp of Florida - a self-described "proofreading perfectionist living in a world full of typos." She alerted friends, clients and colleagues about the latest changes in an e-mail last week:
"Your friendly proofreader here, passing along some exciting AP updates on social media terms. (Yes, I really do find these exciting!) Some of these words have not been addressed before by AP, so it's nice to finally have an official ruling on them.
