Acai Berry Detox
It still amazes me when I see or hear about unethical business and marketing practices that take place to sell a product. If you listen to XM/Sirius radio or go to news websites, you've probably seen the products that I'm about to unveil.
The company establishes credibility when they show the logos of credible news agencies like CNN, Today Show, and ABC among others, that have reported on their "remarkable product". The product is a combination of detox capsules to improve metabolism and energy levels while promoting the elimination of excess toxins stored in the colon and digestive track. The end result is losing that extra 5-20 pounds that seems to linger despite diet and exercise. The products I am referring to are Acai Berry Detox and Colotox.
The Acai Berry Detox program advertises a limited number of free trials with a caveat that the buyer must pay a shipping and handling fee. The person signs up for the shipping information and somewhere hidden in the form is the unadvertised catch. If that marketing tactic wasn't enough deceipt, there's more. The free trial is not for the entire jar as graphically depicted and as the copy suggests, rather it is for 15 days only, beginning with the date of the trial order.
The Colotox cleansing product also uses a similar tactic. Colotox offers $1 trial plus shipping and handling. Both products "bury" their "Terms & Conditions". Colotox's T&C states that the buyer must read theterms and agree PRIOR to the purchase of the trial. Interestingly enough, the terms and conditions link is at the bottom of the website with no indication anywhere on the page that the offer is subject to the terms and conditions.
I do not even attempt to address the efficacy of these products, but rather am examining the marketing tactics employed by both. In my internet searching, I discovered that there are many different sites out there addressing the "scam" quality of these and similar companies. Even the Chicago Tribune has written about this scam.
Bring it home: In your marketing activities and promotions, keep it ethical. People will buy your product or service because it fills a need and if it's a consumble product, your customers will continue to buy the product based on their experience. If you can't stand behind your product or service, then don't sell it.

We also have been looking at these scams that these various sites have been offering these so called free trials.
The biggest complaint that our readers have been telling us about is that they cannot get hold of the companies to cancel there orders.

acai berry detox free trial offer..This is true... It's a scam... No where on the page does it say to read the terms of the agreement.. it is buried at the bottom.. I ordered it on the 4th of feb.. and did not receive for 3 days... but your trial offer starts the day you order it.. Don't bother trying to call them.. They won't do anything about. They say did you read the terms and conditions... nowhere does it say that you have to agree to it or read them...also it doesn't work.....

You do need to combine exercise with acai in its many forms to achieve maximum results in weight loss.
You were also right about the scams on free trials.

what do you guys know about purity12 is this to a scam or what.
Anyone know the e mail address or address of this company. My credit card company in the UK are looking in to their mal practice regarding trial offers but we have no contact details on them.
It seems that they only want to keep the good comments,, Not the ones about Acaiberry detox scam with power tea.
First of all the acai berry detox had little or no effect. Second when I got the acaiBerry Detox, in the same envlope was a bottle of Power Tea Which by the way I did not order. They dont tell you that you have to cancel the power tea seperatly,, and with another company, in fact the people at Acai Berry Detox seemed unawear that the 2 products were sent in the same envlope. Be aware this is a SCAM, and someone is getting a kick back. they keep on kicking this posting off but I’m gonna keep on putting it back up.
Check This Out, , , , I didn't even order power tea, , , I ordered acai berry detox and in the same envlope was sent an order of power tea, I thought it was a comp thing so I didn't think anything of it, , , that is until I started recieving more bottles of power tea. They at acai berry detox dont tell you that you have to cancel the order of power tea seperatly, , , in fact they seem to be unaware that the power tea and the acai berry detox are shipped in the same envlope to start with. If this isn't a scam I dont know what is.
Oh and by the way the best # to get power tea at is 1-800-290-4944 I hope this helps all and I hope these scaming bastards get screwed.

Just wanted to update, I was just informed that my credit card had been compromised, this happened just after I ordered from Acai Berry Detox and found the bottle of Power Tea in the envlope as well. This was supposed to be a free trial offer,, but it has ended up costing quite a bit more in money as well as aggrivation. Word to the wise be very careful these are not secure sites.
DEFINITELY A SCAM!!! I order on July 1st, didn't receive until July 6th and my credit card was charged on July 14th. They will not issue a refund even if the product does not work.
