Sarah Palin
Well, who would'a thunk it ! The possibility that Sarah Palin could run as an Independent presidential candidate in 2012 seems to be growing from a possibility to a probability if she doesn't get her way with a Republican nomination. Yesterday, on Bill O'Reilly's show: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,576162,00.html , Mr. O'Reilly brought this scenario up when discussing with Palin a variety of political issues in his interview with her. Palin, did not deny this scenario nor did she deny that she would run as an Independent. Seems, Palin is trying to hold a club over the head of the Republican party by using the press, which is gving her all the attention her little heart desires.
Sarah Palin, seems to be leading the way when it comes to this other group of very right wing people known as Tea Baggers and so called Conservatives. There are Republican leaders in the Congress who seem to know exactly what's going on and that have latched on to this self-righteous conservative band wagon that threatens to work outside of the Republican party and run their own candidates if they don't get their political way.
As for the Democrats and Progressives, they would be very well served if Palin led an Independent Party as a presidential candidate in one scenario: Just as Teddy Roosevelt split the Republican party vote and allowed a man named Woodrow Wilson into the White House, Sarah Palin could do the same for the Democrats, unless of course under the second scenario the Elites who run the Democratic party continue to trample on the principles of the Democratic party and on the principles of Progressivism in general. In that scenario, it would become much more of a competitive political campain in 2012 and that...does not bode well for humanity and its Progressive principles.
This last scenario is laughed off by main line Democrats and politcal pundits who say: don't worry, Sarah Palin is a joke and she's making a fool of herself. But, they underestimate Palin at their and or own peril because this dynamic of constant televison, radio, Twitter and internet coverage is I believe helping to transform her with many of our fellow Americans. It's not so far fetched when one looks at how Obama (another rock star/male diva personality) has utilized television and all of the other afore mentioned media, can you say Orah? So, we must not under estimate the new rock star/ Diva type personality cults brought on by these media tool wonders of the early 21 century because surely if we do, that old cliche that makes Progressives wretch and conservatives weep with joy will be used by Palin. Mrs. Palin, will you continue to get your face everywhere in the media? "You betcha" !

Yes, the Redneck Party .
No she is not a joke. She is highly dangerous. She attract highly emotive crowds and but cannot control them. When people think with their gut instead of their head this is a recipe for disaster where destruction of properties and person is often involved. The last example of such a crowd is what happened at the end of the NHL match two days ago (Anaheim vs Tampa).

Excuse me, but many of those "Tea Baggers" are Democrats and Independents that are fed up with Big Government, Crooked Politicians and any form of Taxes that hurt the people. Please get real....
Sarah Palin has demonstrated again and again that she is spiteful, vengeful, avericious, mean-mouthed and a quitter, not to mention poorly educated and ignorant of most important policy issues.
Her one legitimate claim to expertise, i.e. energy has to do with fossi fuels only.
She has willfully originated and promoted misrepresentations that border on hate mongering and go beyond the usual political spin.
I think that the liberal media have promted her celebrity in hopes that she will indeed run for president either as a third party candidate or as vice-president which will make almost any reasonably well-informed and articulate opposing candidate a shoe-in.
That is so cool! Palin will take votes from the Republican candidate and Obama will be ensured another term. Same way it worked for Ross Perot and Clinton.
Redneck Party -- catchy name. She attracts them in droves.

Sarah and the others like beck and hannity have created this tea-bagger moron movement that will surely back fire. When you create a monster by ginning up rednecks and idiots with scare mongering it will be your downfall. You see the monster will then turn on anyone in the GOP that is moderate. What morons like this dont seem to realize is that you need moderates to win elections because of independents.
The grand old party is hanging by a thread and the Sarah Palins and Glenn becks are holding the scissors too close to that thread.... Go Sarah Go.

Progressives are supposed to be so enlightened that the mere thought of creating a stereotpe like "redneck party" is far below them. The "ignorance" of many on the left is the way in which they look down upon us "robots". Neither Glen Beck nor Palin has created this anti-Obama movement, it is held in the hearts of a majority of Americans. We the people have been pushed around by folks who would like to "change" the way we live. These same folks do not realize that the American people are like a hungry lion who will not be caged without a fight.
