Patricia Ellyn Powell worked on creative writing masters and PhD with academy award winner and Oprah Book-of-the-Month legend, Earnest J. Gaines. She contributed to bestseller Josh Clark's "Louisiana in Words," and Linn Merrifield's, "The Dire Elegies," poetics on endangered species. Louisiana poet laureate, Darrell Bourque inspired her during her Bay Area Writing Project and influenced her poetry during their work in The Acadiana Writing Project. She freelances and consults on publishing in her lifelong home of Alexandria, Louisiana. With a first masters in Ministry from Seattle University, she favors esoteric topics that redefine spirituality and celebrate the shifting paradigm.
