Anyone seeking proof that the leopard doesn't change its spots need but train his gaze on actor and director Mel Gibson, who has been accused by an ex-girlfriend of using the n-word in a bitter argument. This incident mirrors another race-tinged incident four years, when Gibson delivered an anti-Semitic tirade toward a police officer he assumed was Jewish. His comments touched off a media frenzy that haunted the actor for a period of time following the incident.
On Thursday the celebrity gossip website Radaronline.com published excerpts of an incendiary voice mail captured on tape by Oksana Grigorieva, a former girlfriend of Gibson and mother of his child. On the tape, a voice that reportedly sounds like that of Gibson says, "If you get raped by a pack of n***ers, it will be your fault."
A spokesman
for Gibson declined comment pending the outcome of litigation between the actor and Grigorieva. Paul Talbert, a matrimonial attorney, is reported by ABC News to have commented that "[i]f this tape is genuine, you can see how nasty these things can get."
The split between Gibson and Grigorieva, which occurred in April, turned bitter last month, when Grigorieva sought and obtained a restraining order against Gibson, whom she claimed had struck her, knocking loose two of her teeth in an argument in January. Gibson's attorney filed a counter-motion to restrain her from speaking publicly about the case.
Gibson made headlines in 2006 when he was stopped by a Malibu police officer on suspicion of drunk driving. Indignant over being stopped, Gibson reportedly told the policeman among other that "Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world." He later apologized for what he termed "despicable behavior."

It's unfortunate when such talented people put their foot in their mouth.
As for his comments about Jews running Hollywood, they do. It's not racism to say so because it was Jews that built Hollywood from the ground up. Almost all the great movies of our time cames from Jews working to give us a view of ourselves and our lives on film.
But the 'way' he said it needs checking.
