The Myr are back in force in Magic: The Gathering's Scars of Mirrodin, featuring the full complement of Mirrodin "Mana Myrs", Palladium Myr, and the decidedly dangerous common slot Ichorclaw Myr.

1/1

Ichorclaw Myr doesn't seem like it will see constructed play, (Don't hold us to that, we have quite a bit of set left to spoil!) but it does seem like a perfect quality common for Limited play.  Dropping an Ichorclaw Myr puts the opponent in an awkward early game position - Block and lose early game resources, or get poisoned very early and become a viable target for proliferate for the duration of the game.

A functional 3/3 in combat, Ichorclaw Myr will tear through any other two-drop competition that is likely to be on the board, and remains viable late game for causing "permanent" damage to a sizable creature with its infectious damage.

Ichorclaw Myr puts the opponent to difficult blocking decisions every single turn for just two colorless mana, and we expect it to be a solid common for Scars of Mirrodin Limited play.  As Scars of Mirrodin is far from spoiled at this point, we can't really say where this infectious Myr will end up in the pick order, but as of right now it looks like a very competitive creature.
