Does the presence of Knight Exemplar mean we're looking at a lord for each color in M11? We've already known about black's Captivating Vampire for some time, so Knight Exemplar makes two in the cycle (There's also the possibility of a cycle of Titans).
Knight Exemplar confers quite a significant buff to the lordly ranks of his companions, a solid +1/+1 and indestructibility - At the moment, there's some interesting Knights such as Student of Warfare and Knight of the Reliquary as possible companions for constructed play.
There's no doubt that Knight Exemplar is a casual player's dream lord, boosting everything from classic White and Black Knights to Skyknight Legionnaires. Does Knight Exemplar have a shot in the new Standard? Anything's possible with things rotating out in October - if Merfolk might have a tribal shot, maybe Knights will too.
In regards to limited play, Knight Exemplar is a 2/2 first striker for 1WW, fairly standard, and can boost up your common slot Cloud Crusader. There are hopefully a few more Knight cards lurking in the M11 spoiler waiting to be led into battle by Knight Exemplar, otherwise it will be a rather unfortunate rare to get your hands on in a draft or sealed deck pool.
