Hoarding Dragon conjures images of ancient dragons and their caches of glistening treasure to Magic: The Gathering's M11 core set.  A unique take on what is traditionally thought of as a flying beatstick in Magic: The Gathering, Hoarding Dragon brings some tech along with the tail.

When Hoarding Dragon enters the battlefield, you may search your library for an artifact card, exile it, then shuffle your library.

When Hoarding Dragon is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, you may put the exiled card into its owner's hand.
4/4

Flavorwise, it doesn't get much better than Hoarding Dragon - It's got that whole Smaug from The Hobbit thing going on.  Hoarding Dragon is certainly a more interesting approach to the dragon theme than yet another firebreathing flyer,

Now, how is Hoarding Dragon's ability useful?  It's useful for speculating on Hoarding Dragon's price before Scars of Mirrodin, when there might actually be some artifacts worth coveting coming into the spotlight.  Hoarding Dragon doesn't really have a whole lot of ways to bring useful combos to the table at the moment, but think of it as sort of a "herald" for things to come in Scars of Mirrodin, perhaps.

In Limited play Hoarding Dragon is great, as a 4/4 flyer for 5 is perfectly fine, and can grab Juggernaut, Crystal Ball, or even a Steel Overseer (and whatever other artifacts show up in M11).  Hoarding Dragon is "probably" a first pick, but not in the mandatory league of extraordinary titans.

Hoarding Dragon is a mechanically interesting, thematically thrilling rare that adds a lot to Magic: The Gathering's M11 core set - It's also the red artwork featured on the M11 booster packs.

Don't forget to protect your treasure with Hoarding Dragon as we head into the M11 prerelease and M11 release events in just a few weeks!
