Obama's stunning hypocrisy on CIA interrogations

AP Photo/Susan Walsh

Nothing has changed. There is no new evidence. The only thing that's different is Obama's political position.

He has offended his base by waivering on the "public option," and now he suddenly finds himself compelled to reverse course on CIA interrogation methods and appease the Democrat fringe with a vindictive partisan witch hunt.

Contrary to everything Obama promised, Attorney General Eric Holder--the anti-U.S. ideologue who was so instrumental in releasing convicted terrorists under Bill Clinton (what's that about the Lockerbie bomber?)--has needlessly re-opened an old, long-completed investigation, based apparently on absolutely nothing.

Never mind the fact that this sleazy partisan maneuvering is dangerously compromising national defense...or that Americans oppose this partisan charade by a 13-point margin.

Who exactly is in control of this administration? Barack Obama is too much of a narcissistic control freak (illegal enemies lists, leftist interrogation units, hired left-wing rent-a-mobs, non-stop misinformation campaigns, fake "experts," etc.) for any remotely informed, reasonable person to accept that anyone but Obama himself is fully in charge here. So why the umpteenth broken promise?

Could it really be that Democrats are using the Justice Department for political purposes?

But wait, I thought they were against that sort of thing? When the Bush Administration fired a small handful of federal prosecutors for utterly failing to do their jobs and leaving rampant Democrat voter fraud completely un-touched, liberals hyperventilated on every major news outlet for months until Attorney General Alberto Gonzales was railroaded out of office.

Of course, this was after they defended Bill Clinton for firing far more federal prosecutors (including one that was investigating his misconduct in Arkansas--who he replaced with a crony, who then turned around and buried the investigation) for openly political reasons, but that's beside the point. Down the memory hole it all goes.

Total partisan hypocrisy at every turn. Zero concern for the truth. Nothing matters other than Democrat power.

Good to see you opened up to new discussions Moonie! But by deleting past posts doesn't mean they never existed. Go pacify yourself in a corner and wish the mean old world will go away. Typical for you self"right"ous thumpers.

    Ugmo,

Don't post vulgar, incoherant, or otherwise utterly useless posts and they won't get deleted.

    Not rocket science. Stop crying.

Great observations. I totally forgot about that... thanks for refreshing my memory. As usual, great article using a little research to reveal uncomfortable truths... the truth hurts, but then again, the truth will set you free!!
