Santa's workshop is open to the public for this holiday season in Greer, Arizona. Now through January 2, 2010, the North Pole Experience awaits children of all ages in Arizona's White Mountains, just a few hours north of Phoenix.
For the first time ever, the North Pole Experience opens Santa's Workshop at the historic Molly Butler Lodge to give children a chance to help the elves build toys for Christmas morning and spend time with Santa Claus himself.
After a resort-style dinner at one of Arizona's premier restaurants in the Molly Butler Lodge, the Candy Cane Express Trolley departs for Santa's workshop. Walking inside, children will find a true winter wonderland: the elves' factory with floor-to-ceiling fireplace, colorful wrapping station, Santa's Toy Hall of Fame, Santa's antique desk, the elves' living quarters, and even Mrs. Claus' bakery.
Children help make toys placed in Santa's sleigh for gifting to less fortunate children in Arizona. After the work is done, Santa himself presents each child with a gift and families will have photos with Santa. Of course, there are also hot drinks, festive carols, and perhaps even a peek at Santa's sleigh.
Once back at the Molly Butler Lodge, children join Mrs. Claus and the elves for stories, movies, and fun while the adults unwind around Arizona's second largest fireplace.
Admission to the North Pole Experience is $74 for adults and $62 for children 12 and under, which includes dinner at the award-winning Molly Butler Restaurant followed by the adventures at Santa's Workshop.

We so often think of Arizona as hot and dry, so it is nice to see an article about snow. I've been in some of the most difficult snow on the road in Arizona, but it is beautiful to look at.
We were just dumped on with snow last night. Of course, rain here in the Valley, but the mountains all around were covered with snow and all the outlying mountain towns are full of snow. It's really pretty neat that we have the best of both worlds.
