Even though Christmas is over, Santa's work is never done. For a few more days - now through January 2, 2010 - you can get the kids out to visit the North Pole Experience in Greer, Arizona.
The historic Molly Butler Lodge is host to the unique North Pole Experience where children of all ages enter the magic portal to Santa's workshop.
Following a sumptuous feast at the Molly Butler Lodge, the "elves in training" jump on board the Candy Cane Express to head to the North Pole portal, just a couple of miles up the road from Greer. After carols and fun on the trolley, it is a magical moment when all the lights of Santa's workshop and the stables finally come into view, glowing in the dark winter night.
The oohs and aahs fill the trolley as the littlest elves pull past the red glow of the stall housing Rudolf and stop at the front doors of Santa's workshop.
Inside, kids meet the elves, play games, help build toys, enjoy the goodies at Mrs. Santa's bakery, and have a chance to meet Santa himself.
Following a trip back to Molly Butler Lodge aboard the Candy Cane Express, Mrs. Claus and the elves entertain the children with stories, crafts, and hot chocolate while the adults enjoy a drink around the fire.
The charming town of Greer, with the Molly Butler Lodge as its anchor, is the perfect setting for the North Pole Experience. Prices through January 2, 2010 are $74 for adults and $62 for kids 12 and under. Overnight packages start at $440 and include dinner, admission to Santa's workshop, and breakfast at the Molly Butler Lodge with Santa for 2 adults and 2 children.
You can also book the North Pole Experience for the 2010 season with the 2009 pricing through January 15, 2010.

This looks like a fairyland / wonderland for kids and adults.
Greer is beautiful but by next week it will be upper 60's in the Valley!!
This was definitely a fairyland. I took my grandkids and it was delightful. There's actually snow up there -- it's at 8500 feet above sea level so it's definitely not in the 60s. We had 15 degrees at night. It put us all in the Christmas spirit. It's up in the mountains about 5 hours northwest of the Valley, so it's an entirely different world than Phoenix. Magic is simply the word that comes to mind.
Can't wait to do this later this year. What an innovative idea for family fun!
We just booked a trip for December 2010 for NPX.....I can't wait to see the look of joy and wonder on my childrens faces as they see Santa and the workshop and all the wonderful activities that will be in store for them during this excting trip!!!!!! My eyes filled up with tears while watching the introduction to NPX.......I can't wait!
