Here’s an interesting new hotel for New York City.
Fashion 26 – A Wyndham Hotel, opens March 15, 2010, and will be New York’s first hotel focused entirely on fashion.
Designed to be a four-star hotel, chic details will include a front desk with cast iron legs from a sewing table and lobby art created from colorful thread spools.
The hotel will be located on West 26th Street, close to the Fashion Institute of Technology, with which it will have a close relationship. The locale also puts it close to Macy’s flagship store on 34th Street. Hotel executives are also claiming that its RARE View, a rooftop bar and lounge, will offer “the city’s best views of the Empire State Building.” Downstairs, hotel dining will come in the form of RARE, which promises to “pay tribute to the great American hamburger.”
Cool welcome amenity: “Fashion-themed” Crumbs cupcakes upon arrival.
