In the news we are still seeing completely speculative reports based on leaks regarding who gets what. But the more important question is this -- why do we care?
First: who gets what?
As I stated yesterday, until court papers are filed we simply do not know the truth. Despite the speculation about the Florida homes, some of us are wondering about the other homes in 4 states.
Divorce is a tricky business and anything can happen in the final deal. Keep in mind that with Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren, there is a prenuptial agreement as well.
Here is what Shuttervoice reported this morning.
Elin Nordegren is getting
• The main family home in Windmere, Florida
• Another home located nearby
• An apartment in Stockholm, Sweden
• A secluded island in Sweden which includes a $2.2 million estate which is currently being renovated

Why do we care?
Because divorce has become so much a part of our culture, and sadly so, the public seems to have an insatiable desire to know the details of celebrity divorce. In many ways it is a stage view of what takes place in the lives those living on Main Street. With all of the charged feelings that occur with division of property, reading about the trials and tribulations of others often falls into the 'misery loves company' category. But unfortunately people also fall into the "take what you can get" mode. A better method is to try to resolve one's differences or at least come to the table with a spirit of cooperation, particularly when children are involved.

Watermelon, I am not sure why you are so bitter and angry at Tiger Woods. I thought that Elin is his wife and this involves the two of them and no one else. Whatever happens from now on is between the two of them - as it always has been.

Why do we care???? Because...
1-Tiger Woods was portraying a clean, decent image to the public while living a secret ,sordid life!
2- Tiger Woods was the most liked and recognized athlete around the world and has been used as a role model for our youth!
3-Tiger Woods had the biggest fall from grace than any other celebrity or athlete in history!
4- Tiger deceived and betrayed not only the trust of his wife and family but also millions of fans, sponsors and the general public!
5-Tiger has caused undeserved pain and suffering to his wife and children with his reckless actions and he should pay for what he did!
....and much more!!!!
Carmen, Tiger is "paying" for what he did to Elin and the children and he will continue to pay by not seeing his children on a regular basis. Elin herself has said that Tiger is a good Father and he loves his children. I think the public can do without their "Pound of Flesh" that it wants from Tiger. It is time to move on.
I find it difficult to believe that this private information about Tiger & Elin's divorce settlement, i.e. property, real estate is made public. I do remember that when divorce was first discussed, privacy was foremost in their minds. Unfortunately unscrupulous individuals feel this is their business. What a sad commentary on life.

Elin, don't do it. a child natural father is better than any men you can put before you child when this whole thing is over with. Tiger made a mistake. I am sure that you can work your way back to loving him not for only your children, but for you. I understand that you are hurt, but this to will past. Everyone deserve a second chance. The media will follow you for the rest of your life once you end your marriage. Think about it
Gosh, there is so much of this all over TV and in the smut sheets. These stars are just as human as we are.
Now Mel Gibson, leave all of them alone. They all know what they did. It gets on the news because of the star status, but they are no different from us.
I am not saying it's OK to beat a woman or cheat, we all know better, but all the time on the news come on, enough already!

Joyce, I am not condoning in any what Tiger did to Elin and the children, but do believe - maybe I am naive, but if the scandal sheets and the press had stayed out of Tiger & Elin's lives, this would have taken a different turn. With this story in the news for the last 9 months these two have had no privacy to work through this very difficult time.
She went from Nordegren into Wooodzzzzz....wuzzzziiii wuzzzz with two mongreal children left to take care now ! Mongorella Wudzzz
