As I reread my earlier piece, something struck me -- the divorce deal is flashing as Breaking Bews with the National Enquirer. The National Enquirer is relentless in its pursuit of this story. Matt Lauer and his secret life: The Today Show and the National Enquirer (new gossip) at odds. They note:
"The marriage turmoil has a desperate Lauer, 52, secretly hammering out a $50 million divorce-delay deal designed to maintain his family-man image on the NBC Today show, say sources." THE SECRET LIFE of MATT LAUER
FOX News reported: "NBC's Today show has assailed allegations of infidelity about Matt Lauer, "Today Calls Matt Lauer Allegations "Completely Inaccurate
Sometimes truth falls somewhere in between gossip, denial, and reality.
If there is a divorce delay, let's hope that the Lauers use the time to talk with experts in reconciliation.

how can anyone forgive infidelity? i cannot wrap my mind around forgiving a man who has dipped his peniz into a stray female. i just cannot!
Cheating is wrong but a lot of time and thought should be set aside before going through the final steps of a divorce. That is something that should not be taken lightly.

Interesting piece. One correction: Dr. Barlow is the Executive Director of the *Florida Division* of AAMFT, not the larger national organization.
