We thought that the sex tape was ugly, but this new report is worse. The New York Post and National Enquirer reported "Disgraced former presidential candidate John Edwards reportedly beat his cancer-stricken wife during a horrific marriage-ending fight.
"John lost his temper big time," a close friend of Elizabeth's revealed to the National Enquirer. "She has the divorce papers drawn up, but she can amend them to charge John with domestic violence." Edwards hit wife during heated fight: report
The good wife vs condescending
There is so much volatility in this unfolding drama, that it is really sad for the children. But we have been reading reports that Elizabeth has a temper, and who can blame her? A new book says, "After his affair was revealed, John Edwards became more deferential to her, and she grew more assertive. The book says she steamrolled over his close aides in profanity-laced tirades, which she had also done during the 2004 presidential race, when John Edwards ran as John Kerry's vice president." New book 'Game Change' claims John Edwards' wife Elizabeth was a 'condescending crazy woman.'
And what about the children, as I talked about earlier today?
We hear so much about the love-child, but John and Elizabeth still have three surviving relatively young children. Missing sex tape means more infidelity wounds for Edwards family
Infidelity as a public health problem
Ellen Ratner , Washington bureau chief for Talk Radio News Service and a Fox News contributor says, 'As I watched the “20/20” interview with Andrew Young in its entirety last Friday, I couldn’t help but wonder about the Edwards’s two younger children who are around ages 10 and 12. It must be horrifying to find out that your father is having an affair with a woman and you now have a half-sibling. It must not be easy to show up at school with your family’s intimate secrets everywhere.
"Cheating on your spouse is as old as written history but the long-term consequences on the family are just beginning to be understood. If we already have government programs to prevent teen pregnancy, to teach children about “safe touch,” and we offer mandated court intervention during certain divorce proceedings then why not think of extra-marital affairs as a public health problem? Extra-Marital Affairs Are a Public Health Problem .
We are an upside-down society spending more time on anger than on love.

Wonder if she has golf clubs?
If she doesn't; she should get some.
All rumor and innuendo....sadly what passes for news these days.
Yeah I'm with Linda on this one. This guy could use some golf club therapy for sure. What a piece of garbage. I feel the same way about his tramp fling. When you knowingly sleep with someone that you know is married and has a family then you are just as much garbage as they are. I really feel bad for all the kids in this. Imagine how they will all feel when they are old enough to read about all this later in life. Just makes me sick!
