Charlotte, NC is filled with romantic daytime outings for couples. It is very difficult for married couples to always get away for the weekend due to family and work schedules, but a fun outing in or near the city is very easy to plan. Charlotte is filled with great places to visit and fun activities. Here are a few of the great places Charlotte has to offer.

1. Freedom Park has long been a favorite spot for lovers to meet. On any given day, you can visit the park and find couples stretched out on a blanket, having a picnic lunch, reading a book or just stealing a few kisses. Freedom Park has a large lake with a sidewalk that trails around it. There is also a bridge that connects to the Charlotte Nature Museum, which is another great place to visit.

2. Historic Rosedale is another outing that any couple would enjoy. The large plantation home is filled with southern history. Enjoy a tour of the home and the beautiful grounds holding hands with your special someone.

3. NoDa Historic Arts District is a great place for couples to go. This arts district sports bars, restaurants, galleries and theatres. It has something for everyone.

4. Charlotte Botanical Gardens is a must for plant loving couples to visit. Located on the UNC-Charlotte Campus, these gardens are host to many different kinds of plants, flowers and landscape architecture.

5. Uptown Charlotte is a great place to visit. The nightlife in uptown is filled with music, dance clubs, bars, restaurants and theatres…all under the beautiful lights of the cityscape.

6. U.S. National Whitewater Center is the place for those more adventurous couples who love to get their adrenaline flowing. It is host to the world’s largest recirculating river, one of the largest climbing facilities along with miles of hiking and biking trails.
