Longmont post election coverage was again in the news this week. This time taking to the radio airwaves, not once but twice.
Earlier in the week, on AM1310 KFKA, the Longmont Advocate was a guest on the Amy Oliver show to discuss the Longmont election. Topics discussed included the '07, '08, and '09 elections, Karen Benker, Wrongmont, Executive Sessions and ensuing Times-Call lawsuit, Firestone/LifeBridge annexations litigation, the price of activism and free speech, and Longmont's Fair Campaign Practice Act (Click here to listen)
Today, on radio station KGNU's show Connections, Longmont resident and host Kathy Partridge spoke to Longmont Ledger Editor Clay Evans and grassroots leader Jonathan Singer. Topics included how Longmont voters ousted a progressive Council majority, nixed public wi-fi, and lost the vote for Boulder County Open Space. What happened here? What does it mean for Longmont and the Metro region as a whole, and what's being done to counter it? Callers were invited to phone in. (Click here to listen)
