Rasmussen has been tracking the percentage of Americans who “Strongly Approve” of the job President Obama is doing, and the percentage of Americans who “Strongly Disapprove” of the job President Obama is doing.
Based on these numbers, they developed what is called the “Presidential Approval Index”, the difference between the percentage of people who strongly approve, and the percentage of people who strongly disapprove.
Back in Jan 2009, the Presidential Approval Index stood at mid 20’s, indicating that majority of Americans were very happy with the job Obama was doing. The Approval Index started the downhill slide from then, hitting zero some time in June 2009. Then, from that time, it never again entered into positive territory, and has been on a steady downhill slide, becoming redder month after month.
Rasmussen reported this morning (Nov 24th 2009) that the Presidential Approval Index has hit an all time low of -15, with only 27% of American people strongly approving the job Obama is doing, but an overwhelming 42% strongly disapproving the job he is doing.
The approval numbers being at an all time low of -15 is not a good sign for our President.
These numbers should be troubling President Obama. Hope President Obama is listening to the American people, and their growing disapproval of the way he is increasing the national debt with uncontrolled spending. Hope President Obama is watching the growing concern of American people about his ever-increasing borrowing from China. Hope President Obama is watching the polls on his socialized medicine initiative, which shows that a vast majority of Americans disapprove with his Universal Healthcare plan. Hope President Obama is listening to the concerns of American people regarding Afghanistan troop request from our General on battlefield being given blind eye by his administration, for weeks. Hope President Obama is listening to the voices of disapproval from American people regarding the 9/11 terrorist trials being held as civilian trials within our own country, with terrorists given ALL the rights that an American citizen would be given, instead of as military trials ( the normal protocol for such terrorist trials).
If only President becomes a listener to the voice of American people, he can reverse the downhill direction of his approval index.

The Rassmussen polls are as fixed as a news story on Fox"News". That said, it makes sense that he woud not be popular. People are pretty stupid; they blame the guy trying to put out the fire instead of who started it because he's there and it has to be SOMEONE's fault. You see this in every election. He hasn't solved all of the huge problems we face and cured cancer in his first 10 months so he is a failure. It is to be expected and I'm sure he knew it was coming. But a real leader does what is necessary to the best of their ability, the whining for fools be damned. I will give him his 3 years before making any judgements, then again I'm not an idiot...most of the time.

Obama has displayed an umistakable Islamic bias in his foreign policy. He has been soft on terrorism. And he has let down some of his strongest backers in the gay community who expected him to stand firmly for gay marriage and reversal of 'don't ask, don't tell'. He and his cohorts deserve to be humiliated at the next polls.
