Gallup started tracking American President’s approval in 1938. And they have been tracking the Presidential approval rating ever since, for 71 long years.
As per Gallup, at 10 ½ months into his Presidency, President George W. Bush was at an astonishing 86% approval, Bill Clinton was at 52%, George H. W. Bush was at 71%, Ronald Reagan despite having inherited 18% unemployment and record high interest rates was at 49%, Jimmy Carter was at 57%, Gerald Ford was at 52%, Richard Nixon was at 59%, Lyndon Johnson was at 74%, John Kennedy was at 77%, Dwight Eisenhower was at 69%, Harry Truman was at 49%.
President Obama has indeed created history, managing to fare lower than any President whose approval has been tracked by Gallup since 1938.
In the Dec 4th-6th polling, Gallup reported that President Obama , 10 ½ months into his Presidency, got only 47% approval, a number lower than the corresponding number for any President at this point in time of their Presidency, since 1938.

Mr. Obama is a professor......nothing more, nothing less. Inexperienced at most things, his track record shows accordingly.
Mr. Obama should just go back to Indoensia.
You have to throw out Shrub Jr as his was after 9-11. The rest are reasonable.
Obongo has the misfortune of being the head puppet in charge at the time so many are waking up.............
The question becomes: Is anyone really that suprised by this? I'm certainly not. The man had near zero experience and now he is running the most powerful nation on the planet. That is typically a recipe for disaster. And the man won a piece prize? For what again.. nice speeches? I see Obama akin to a mix of Carter and Bush Sr. A combination of bad policy and false hopes. ie failed health care reform, failed promises, weak on iran, etc. In any case.. one year down three to go. You still have time to redeem yourself Mr. President.
obama went from community organizer to leader of the free world. does anybody think a few steps may have been missed along the way?
There is a bunch of seemingly benign "useful idiots" for Obamacare in NY disguising themselves as agents of healthcare empowerment.
Oddly history shows that they will be the first to mysteriously "disappear" when any part of this agenda becomes reality since they won't be able to advocate for squat - much less themselves.
Chilling how Obama more bold-facedly lies and uses these all too willing fools to foist someone else's socialist agenda on everyone and simply spits them out.
Saul Alinsky would be so proud of his student radical turned President.
Obama will be just fine. Its funny that they have pulled out a stat like "approval rating after 10 1/2 months" just to give Obama the lowest rating. What is that? 10 1/2 months. Give me 2 years, and then I will give my opinion on his job thus far. BTW, whoever said Obama went from community organizer to leader of the free world missing some steps....I do recall he was Senator Obama from Illinois....did you forget that? Most presidents are former senators or governors. I'd say he has done well enough.

Pop quiz... What was Bush's approval rating when he left office?
a whooping 17%.
Now that's embarrassing. I'll 47% over 17% any day.
We elected this man, shame on us....
