"The Beast" on location in Chicago
With a weather forecast calling for -14°, tomorrow is a great night to stay in and watch the premiere of "The Beast" airing on A&E Thursday, January 15, at 9:00 p.m.
"The Beast," starring Patrick Swayze and Travis Fimmel, tells the story of veteran undercover FBI agent, Charles Barker (Patrick Swayze), and his rookie partner, Ellis Dove (Travis Fimmel). Barker mentors, tests and hazes Dove with his experienced, sometimes rogue, undercover work. And Dove is indeed tested with the stress and danger of the job, especially when Internal Affairs tries to recruit him as a double-agent in the FBI investigation of Barker.
The first season of "The Beast" was filmed at various locations around Chicago, including the area around Homer and Western in Logan Square. There is some very brief and incredibly dull footage of some of the Chicago filming, but look for Logan Square's close up in this segment of Barbara Walters interview with Patrick Swayze earlier this month.
