A great alternative to staying at a hotel is renting a timeshare for your next vacation week. Most are centrally located, affordable, and come complete with all the comforts of home.
Timeshares are rented out for several reasons. Sometimes the owners cannot make it to them for the week they own. Some units are unsold or have been foreclosed on. Investors also purchase them for the sole purpose of renting them out for a profit.
They can be much more affordable than a traditional hotel or motel room, especially given that they have a full kitchen. Many meals can be prepared at your timeshare, saving you the cost of expensive restaurant bills. After arriving, find a supermarket and stock up with breakfast and dinner meals, snacks and drinks. Then just plan on eating lunches out at the attractions. They all come, not only with full sized refrigerators and stoves, but are also equipped with pots and pans, dishes, silverware, towels and paper goods. Most also have dishwashers, microwaves and even washers and dryers. The interiors are almost always exquisitely furnished with large, spacious living rooms and master suites. There are usually TVs in every bedroom with DVD players.
There are several timeshare communities to choose from, all of them resort-like, complete with several pools, exercise facilities, saunas, and more. Many have on-site restaurants, bars and nightly entertainment. Westgate Lakes (one of the author’s personal favorites) has boat rentals, bike rentals and a mini-golf course. They are very compatible with the most fancy of hotel resorts.
The cost of Orlando timeshares are quite reasonable. A three bedroom, three bathroom (sleeps 10), can be found for as low as $700 per week. Vacationtimesharerentals.com has an extensive list complete with pictures and prices.
Do expect a sales pitch at some point after your arrival. It is usually short and sometimes they will give you free tickets for an attraction or a dinner out. Who knows? You might enjoy your stay so much that you will want to come back again and again.

There are lots of timeshare owners that would be happy to rent their spot at their special vacation paradise in Orlando. My family rented direct from the owner by using the services of www.TimeshareAdventures.com. The process was easy and secure. The rental rate was way less than staying in a hotel. The spacious timeshare condo with the kitchen and laundry made the stay with the family easier. Check out the timeshare owners ads and see their resorts and locations on video.
