Jones Street Station hail from Brooklyn, a borough known for its diversity in culture, art and ethnicity. Whether or not this has influenced the band's sound is irrelevant, but it is very interesting to note the assorted styles found within their music, such as folk, rock, indie and even country music. They've been compared at great length to another American band, Wilco, and their music has garnered great reviews from the likes of The New York Times and The San Francisco Examiner. The band consists of five distinct gentlemen that are originally from five different cities outside the state of New York.
In 2007, Jones Street Station released their debut album, “Overcome”, under the slightly different name, The Jones Street Boys. Their sophomore release, “In Verses”, was released this past August on Smith Street Records. Considered by the band to be their real debut album, “In Verses” finds the quintet presenting four lead vocalists for the first time. The playful melody of a song like “Evergreen”, gives the tune such catchiness, that it bestows upon the listener a vague familiarity, as if you've already heard this song before, but you don't know where.

“In Verses” is now available on iTunes.
