Frontman for Long Island band, Bayside, Anthony Raneri has been touring as a solo act performing shows in California and in the Northeast area around New York.  This Thursday January 21st, Raneri will be performing a solo headlining show in Farmingdale, New York, at a venue called Crazy Donkey.  Joining Raneri on Thursday night will be other acts such as Kevin Devine, JT Woodruff, Vinnie Caruana, and Shane Henderson.  Raneri, currently writing new songs for the upcoming Bayside release, has been known for performing some covers in his acoustic sets, throwing in a Deathcab for Cutie song alongside a Tim McGraw tune.  Audiences can expect to listen to acoustic renditions of Bayside songs, as well as music from a potential solo record Raneri might release in the future.  If the song “The Ballad of Bill the Saint”, posted on Raneri's Myspace, is any indication, a solo outing from the Bayside frontman would have a folky sound more akin to Johnny Cash and other similar artists.
