Michael Jackson captivated audiences from an early age, and he continued to play to his fans and live as normal a life as possible. Books line the shelves about his oddities, his music contributions, and his family life, including Moonwalk by Jackson himself. In October 2009, Bluewater Productions recently unveiled its biography comic, "Tribute: Michael Jackson, King of Pop" in honor of the pop icon and his legacy.
Jackson had planned a 50-city tour concert called "This Is It." What the movie of the same name brings to fans and the community is a backstage pass into a creative, musical genius in his element from working with dancers to fellow musicians and vocalists to lighting and pyrotechnic crews. Fans of his music will groove in their stadium seats in movie theaters across the United States over the next few weeks to old hits, like Smooth Criminal, Man in the Mirror, and more. On opening day, the movie earned about $66.6 million.
Complete with looks at his trademark dance moves, "This Is It" is more than a backstage pass for fans of Michael Jackson, providing a glimpse of his creative process, his work ethic, his perfectionism, and his love of his fellow musicians and humanity. His message has always been one of love, sharing, and hope, and that continues in this movie.
Jackson says himself in the film, culled from documentary footage meant for his own personal library of rehearsal footage, the tour would express humanity’s need to save the planet and to learn to live cooperatively with all of its inhabitants. He wanted to share his love of trees, animals, and more with his fans and to provide them with hope.
"This is It" is how Jackson should be remembered--full of creativity, hope, love, and vitality. Like Jackson, viewers will get caught up in the music and lose themselves in his world. The movie provides more than a book could portray about Jackson's life and legacy.

Althogh not a Jackson fan, I would be interested in the documentary. There is so much more to his story then we will ever know.
I think this was a great inside look at how he creates. It was great to see him happy and in his element.
Sounds interesting, though not something I'd pay to see.
Anna: I think you'd enjoy it even on video or TV
