Q&A: Author V.M.K. Fewings to debut 3rd Stone Masters Vampire Novel October 25

“I'm absolutely delighted to be attending both Undead Con and The Theatre of the Vampires Ball.  I'm sure many vampire novelists consider this is a true highlight of their writing career.”                                  - V.M.K. Fewings

British Author V.M.K. Fewings releases her third novel, A Vampire's Dominion, on Tuesday, October 25.  The release comes just three short days before her guest appearance at Undead Con 2, New Orleans' vampire and horror writers convention hosted by Anne Rice's Vamipre Lestat Fan Club (ARVLFC).

She will be featured on the Authors Forum panel on Friday, October 28, 2011 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at the Chateau Bourbon Hotel.  Each panel consists of a selection of fan favorite authors, screenwriters, comics writers and more sharing ideas in an intimate setting with convention ticket holders.

The very lovely and talented Fewings answered a few questions on her work, her love for Anne Rice and New Orleans, and her dedication to fans for the enjoyment of Examiner.com New Orleans Literature readers!

Q:  Can you please describe yourself for our readers? How you came to write your particular genre?

A:  "I was born and raised in England and moved to the States nine years ago.  Soon after, I began penning a series of British vampire novels.  A Vampire's Dominion is my latest in The Stone Masters Vampire Series."

"I read Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire at the age of 15, and her writing left an indelible mark on my psyche.  I've always felt the genre chose me.  There's something alluring about dark British castles, cryptic messages, and secret codes overlaid with a rich gothic element.  Add in immortals, and I think you have the makings of an exciting story."

Q:  What are you working on now?

A:  "I'm currently enjoying writing a romantic comedy novel which I hope will be finished by the end of the year."

"I'm so looking forward to writing the fourth installment in The Stone Masters Vampire Series and have the first chapter fermenting in my imagination."

Q:  Is there anything you are most looking forward to during your visit to New Orleans?

A:  "I'm absolutely delighted to be attending both Undead Con and The Theatre of the Vampires Ball.  I'm sure many vampire novelists consider this is a true highlight of their writing career."

"About eight years ago, when I visited New Orleans for the first time, I had the real pleasure of meeting Suzie Q, the creator of Anne Rice's Vampire Lestat Fan Club and organizer of Undead Con.  Sue and I have stayed in touch ever since, and I'm thrilled to be seeing her again."

Q:  Would you like to offer a message to your fans?

A:  "I'm incredibly grateful for their continued support.  I'm absolutely delighted when they express their passion for characters in the series.  I'm pleased to say that A Vampire's Dominion brings back many of the same characters that they've grown to love and also introduces new vampires that I know the fans will adore."
