Deflowered Memoirs

Deflowered Memoirs is a sort of collective remembering of one topic- a woman's first sexual experience. The site reminds would-be contributors, "Notice, this isn't erotica . . . Collectively, these stories should, in some way, contribute an additional map of female sexuality that is neither of the pristine virgin or that of the dirty (filtered) . . ."

There are currently eleven stories to read, and Deflowered wil continue accepting submissions until July 1, 2009. Those wishing to submit should read the guidelines, here:

Deflowered: Live and Rated R is in development. The collection plans to launch a performance aspect, wherein contributors will read their stories, interspersed with related music.  They are also considering adding a monthly podcast to their repertoire. 

Abby Kincaid, the founder and editor of Deflowered, has an M.A. in English, and is the author of Gypsies, Tramps, and Theives: Writing the Chick Rock Myth.
